The blue and green of the world

A couple of weeks ago, I visited Greendale Farm in Madison, Ga. to get information and take pictures of the animals. They have pigs, lamb, chickens, cows and horse, and also make cheese.

Below are a few of the pictures that didn’t make the magazine (Athens Food & Culture).

I enjoyed the Heritage pigs as they didn’t smell nearly as bad as I thought they would. The piglets are quite cute, snorting and digging up dirt.

Although I’ve never dreamed of living on a farm, I wouldn’t mind seeing the blue and green contrast of the sky and earth. The lamb are grazing and lambing.

I’ve seen chickens before, since my dad and uncle have raised them, but the eggs were most intriguing. These eggs are the most popular items from the farm.
